Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, the Olympic champion, continued his impressive form at the Lausanne leg of the Diamond League. Despite a less-than-ideal start, Chopra secured his second consecutive podium finish of the season in a highly competitive field. 
During his fifth attempt, he unleashed a remarkable throw of 87.66m, extending his lead over his rivals. In the last attempt, Julian Weber of Germany managed 87.03m but fell short of surpassing Chopra's mark. Initially facing a foul throw, Chopra's first legal throw measured 83.52m, placing him third behind Weber (86.20m) and Jakub Vadlejch (84.71m). Nevertheless, Chopra's outstanding performance ultimately earned him a well-deserved podium spot in Lausanne.

Neeraj Chopra, the 25-year-old Indian javelin thrower, had a stellar beginning to the Diamond League season in Doha on May 5. He secured the top spot on the podium with a remarkable throw of 88.67m, marking his fourth career-best performance.
