A really big bridge with four lanes fell down quickly when someone recorded it on camera in Bihar.

In a shocking incident captured on camera, a colossal four-lane bridge in Bihar collapsed in a manner reminiscent of a house of cards. The bridge, which was originally unveiled in 2014 by Nitish Kumar, served as a vital link between Sultanganj and Khagaria.

A distressing incident unfolded today as an under-construction four-lane bridge over the Ganga in Bhagalpur, Bihar, collapsed in a manner reminiscent of a house of cards. This unfortunate event marks the second collapse of the bridge within a year, as depicted in a video footage. Thankfully, no casualties have been reported thus far.

The bridge, which was inaugurated in 2014 by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, serves as a vital link between Sultanganj and Khagaria districts. In response to the incident, the Chief Minister has ordered a thorough inquiry into the matter and emphasized the need for strict action against the responsible officials.

Bhagalpur District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen conveyed, "Yes, I have been informed about the collapse of 4-5 pillars of the Aguwani-Sultanganj under-construction bridge. The administration is actively coordinating with the relevant department officials." This incident highlights the urgent need to address the structural integrity of the bridge and ensure the safety of future construction projects.

In December of the previous year, a bridge in Begusarai district suffered a catastrophic failure, snapping into two and plunging into the Burhi Gandak river. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident as the bridge had not been officially opened to the public due to the absence of an access road. An official involved in the matter stated, "It was scheduled for inauguration in the near future, but unfortunately, it collapsed before that." The collapse serves as a reminder of the importance of thorough inspection and maintenance to ensure the safety and reliability of infrastructure projects.
