A woman from Delhi died after getting electrocuted by accident at a railway station while it was raining.
Tragedy struck at the New Delhi railway station when a woman lost her life due to electrocution amid heavy rainfall and waterlogging. The victim, identified as Sakshi Ahuja, had arrived at the station early in the morning, accompanied by two women and three children. While trying to navigate through the puddles, she grasped onto an electric pole, unaware of the lurking danger. Unfortunate visuals revealed exposed electric wires at the bottom of the pole, leading to suspicions that they were the cause of the fatal accident.
Witnesses at the scene immediately rushed Sakshi Ahuja to a nearby hospital in a desperate attempt to save her life. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, her injuries proved fatal, and she passed away during treatment. The incident occurred near exit number one of the New Delhi railway station, where authorities later found the woman unconscious.
Following the devastating incident, Sakshi Ahuja's sister, Madhvi Chopra, lodged a complaint accusing the responsible authorities of negligence. The police promptly registered a case based on the complaint and initiated an investigation into the matter.
The grief-stricken family, including Sakshi Ahuja's father, Lokesh Kumar Chopra, expressed their anguish and held the concerned authority accountable for the tragic loss.
